For those of us who are in the middle of their career in renewables, one of the most important things to do is take a break, reflect back on your journey – especially lessons learned – and celebrate those milestones that have enhanced who you are as a professional.

In rounding out the last four chapters of #WeTookTheRisk, I got to go back in time to my first 12 years in cleantech working at the @councilonrenewableenergy. From the first day @jodieroussell welcomed me by opening the door at our first small townhouse office in DC’s Dupont Circle, to the leadership I experienced working for Michael Eckhart, Dennis McGinn & Greg Wetstone, there is so much to be thankful for.

All it took for any of us to get started in this industry was that one leader – your first boss – to take a risk on you – and that person for me was Mike Eckhart.

Thanks for the great memories: @andiplocek / @jodieroussell@kevinhale.y  / @cindieck /  @dawn.butcher.319 / @lkimes / @noahgins / @mndasilva + so many others not on Instagram. More to come as the manuscript gets handed to @newdegreepress on March 1st!
