I’m excited to collaborate again with Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) at CLEANPOWER 2025 to mentor and present the 2025 Rudd Mayer Fellows with my book, We Took the Risk, which celebrates the original risktakers in the US renewable energy industry.
Join me and the new Fellows at the WRISE / EmpowHER Networking Reception next Wednesday at 5 p.m. onsite at the conference to offer a warm welcome and support their success in the industry!
The Fellowship is named after Rudd Mayer, an industry pioneer who passed away in 2002. Rudd was a passionate advocate for the wind energy sector. She spent the last decade of her work at Western Resource Advocates transforming how the public-private sector supported renewables from the ground up. She defined what it took to take a risk and utilized her passion to inspire the next generation of risktakers. It’s in her memory (and through her inspiration!) that I very much look forward to being a champion for these 8 phenomenal women as they impact the renewable energy industry.
This year’s Fellows were announced last month, after a historic record-breaking number of applications.
